Close up: ExxonMobil wins VOMI Safety eXperience Award 2016

Safety is one of ExxonMobil's top priorities. We were therefore especially pleased to win the VOMI Safety eXperience Award 2016.

Safety has been one of the most important topics in the processing industry for years. VOMI (the Dutch trade association for service contractors in the processing industry) set up the Safety eXperience Award to increase worker safety awareness. The award follows a survey of a group of client companies of service contractors and is awarded to the one where the level of safety perceived by fitters and maintenance personnel is the highest. The award was given for the first time in 2015.

For the 2016 award, more than 450 questionnaires were filled in by contractors' employees about the perceived safety level at sites operated by fifteen selected client companies. ExxonMobil ultimately received the best assessment. The jury praised our systematic approach to safety and the Loss Prevention System (LPS) that plays a key role in safety procedures.
