Data Privacy
ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical BV (EM) hereby gives notice that any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“individual”), in particular business contact details of its contracting party’s (incl. buyers, vendors and other business partners) personnel and contractors, which is communicated by or on behalf of such party to EM (“personal data”), will be subject to data processing by EM.
EM uses the personal data to manage and perform the agreement, in particular to keep accounts, invoice or pay its contracting party, enhance services quality, promote our products, and to manage product supply. EM will also process the personal data in order to comply with its legal obligations, in particular in relation to anticorruption and trade sanctions.
EM affiliates, and service providers who perform the above functions on EM’s behalf, may have access to the personal data. EM affiliates and third parties can be located in countries in which data protection laws do not provide a degree of statutory protection equivalent to that of the country in which the contracting party is located. EM applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the personal data, and imposes contractual obligations on recipients of personal data to handle and protect the personal data, as appropriate (including Standard Contractual Clauses developed by the European Commission).
According to applicable law, the contracting party’s personnel and contractors, and other individuals whose personal data is communicated to EM, have a right to access personal data, and to request that EM update, amend, correct, delete, share with certain third parties, or cease processing personal data, or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Individuals wishing to exercise their rights can contact EM's Data Privacy Office via Email .
EM will retain personal data for as long as necessary to manage and execute the agreement, and to comply with applicable laws. The contracting party shall inform its personnel and contractors and other relevant individuals of the content of this provision.
